Eppendorf centrifuges are always very popular with our customers. The Eppendorf 5810 and Eppendorf 5810R models have been among our best selling tabletop centrifuges for years, and we are very impressed with the newer vintage Eppendorf 5910RI and Eppendorf 5920R thus far.
And then there’s the Eppendorf 5430R. This smaller unit is a workhorse – durable, dependable, and able to spin a variety of different tubes and plates. It has a small footprint similar to a microfuge but much more versatility, with rotor compatibility to spin Eppendorf tubes, PCR strips, microplates, and 15mL and 50mL tubes, with a 12 rotor selection.
The Eppendorf 5430R has a maximum capacity of 48 x 2.0mL, max force of 30,130xg, and max speed of 17,500rpm. It is programmed with an advanced operating system, making it more energy efficient due to the smart ECO shut-off and FastTemp pre-cooling functions. The 5430R has a menu-driven, multilingual operation menu with a large backlit display that allows you to save up to 99 user-defined programs and five program keys for easy access to routine programs.
In addition to the standard FastTemp pre-cooling program, Eppendorf high-speed centrifuge Centrifuge 5430 R features the unique software option called FastTemp pro. The FastTemp pro function is available for fast automated pre-cooling based on pre-programmable times and dates. FastTemp pro can be set to a specific date or as a repetitive event on specified days of the week. Simply turn the centrifuge into standby mode when you leave your lab and let FastTemp pro take care of pre-cooling in the morning. This not only makes operation easy; it also saves you up to 90 % of energy overnight.
The ECO shut-off function saves you up to
88 % energy overnight by deactivating the compressor after 1, 2, 4 or
8 hours of inactivity to extend compressor life. This function can be
deactivated in the menu settings.
All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated, we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor, we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.
