A good ballpark price on a piece of used lab equipment is 50% the cost of a comparable new item, meaning that typically you’re going to find that prices from American Instrument Exchange are 40% to 60% lower than the price of new lab equipment.
But if a manufacturer offers a discount of 10% on a piece of equipment we want to know about it. So call or email us and if we can reduce our list price accordingly we will!
Same goes for used lab equipment from other sources. If you find another vendor selling a biosafety cabinet with new HEPA filters, fully tested and with a warranty for less than us, please call or email and tell us. We want to match that quote!
Be sure and remember though that not all used lab equipment is equal: someone selling a rotary evaporator on Ebay, as is, with no warranty and a pile of miscellaneous glassware is not the same as purchasing a fully tested, warrantied model with the glassware configuration of your choice from an established used equipment dealer with over fifty years of experience.
