Oh baby – we have had a lot of equipment arriving lately. Below is a list of some recent arrivals that are now up on our website and available for sale.
We’ve had good experiences with Thermo Revco UxF series ultralow freezers in the past (check out this post from a few months ago for more details), so we were excited to receive a Thermo TSX600D ultralow in stock recently. This is a 28.8 cubic foot capacity model with energy efficient operation (and we’re always into energy efficient lab practices). We also have another TSX series -20°C model available.
Air Clean Systems hood are always popular. We have several AirClean units in stock, including the AirClean AC795BE-972 which just came in. This is a bulk powder handling enclosure designed to provide effective control and containment of airborne particulate during manipulation and transfer of potent compounds in a turbulent free airflow environment. This unit has been modified with a circular cutout with a dump station. Check out this video on our YouTube channel for some detailed images.
Speaking of hoods, we recently have a really nice 6’ wide Kewaunee Supreme Air chemical fume hood that arrived recently. This comes with an epoxy work surface and base cabinets. We have plenty of other fume hoods available, including 4’, 5’, 6’ and 8’ wide models.
We’re really excited about two Baker SG404 biosafety cabinets. These are the latest and greatest Class II Type A2 biosafety cabinet from The Baker Company and we are big fans, especially of the fold up front panel that allows for frontloading HEPA filters.
We also have some nice smaller items arriving, like this Cole Parmer Masterflex brushless process drive pump, which includes a pump head and has a flow rate of 0.0006L/minute to 19L/minute. We also have a bunch of VWR pipettes, including single and multichannels, that come cleaned and calibrated.
As always we have a ton of cell culture incubators available, including some Panasonic MCO-19AICUV units that just came in from a local university. These units feature a dual process decontamination cycle for extremely effective sterilization as well as an H2O2 application to ensure complete decon of the chamber.
If you’re looking for refrigerated incubator there’s the Binder KB400, which just came in last month. This model has a wide temperature range of -5°C to 100°C and a disinfection routine at 100°C. The recovery time is only four minutes from door close to stability, which is even more impressive when you consider the large 14.1 cubic foot chamber.
Finally, there’s the Thermo Sorvall LYNX 6000. We have two of these units in stock. They are high capacity, with a 6 x 1L max carrying load, but maintain a relatively small footprint. The Auto-Lock rotor exchange feature is great and makes swapping rotors a snap – literally, the rotors snap in and out in about three seconds. We have a couple of different rotors available for this model as well.
