The Thermo Neslab RTE-740 recirculating chiller can be used in any of these settings. It’s a compact unit with a wide temperature range from -40°C to +200°C with an open 7L bath, so it can be used for both external circulation and in-bath applications. The industrial grade force and suction pump has enough power to circulate fluid long distances.
Recently we’ve seen an increase in the number of labs using these recirculators for use with rotary evaporators. Rotary evaporators are a mainstay in chemistry laboratories and can be equipped with a glass water condenser that can be connected to a recirculatory. Many solvents can be easily removed at 5°C, which the Thermo RTE 740 can easily achieve.
