Users can navigate the menus using the embedded joystick control and soft keys to set operating modes. The memory storage allows you to save your common protocols or settings, which can both save time and reduce errors in your lab. With secure service data, lockable modes, and password protection, these pipettes are compliant with secure GLP/GMP practices. The battery can be recharged using a simple micro-USB port at the top of the display screen.
When we first saw these we expected the screen to add to much weight to the top of the pipette and cause the entire thing to feel top-heavy and awkward during operation, but this isn’t the case. The Rainin E4 XLS pipettes have a good balance to them and feel natural in our hands during use.
