If you’re looking for 4’ wide biosafety cabinets we recently received several units, including Baker SG403s, Nuaire NU425-400s, and Thermo 1300 series. All of these are being sold with stands and new HEPA filters installed by our technicians prior to shipment from our shop in Haverhill, MA. All of these are Class II Type A2 models, meaning they provide personnel, product, and environmental protection through filtered air, laminar or unidirectional air, and a motor blower. Room air is drawn in through the front grill of the cabinet. The air is pulled under the work surface and through a back wall plenum through a motor blower. This contaminated air is then pushed into the central plenum, where a small portion (30%) of air is exhausted out of the top of the cabinet through a HEPA filter. The remaining air (70%) is re-circulated back into the work zone through a HEPA filter in a laminar (unidirectional) pattern. The air then splits on the work surface, pulled through the back wall grill, around the edges of the work surface, and back through the front airflow grill, where it is pulled under the work surface to start the air recirculation process.

We’re also excited about several Sanyo/Panasonic MPR-1411 double door laboratory refrigerators. These fridges are a great temperature environment for clinical research, pharmaceutical and industrial use. Adjustable shelves and wide range set point for varying laboratory applications including chromatography and pharmaceutical storage. With a temperature range of 2°C to 23°C, the Panasonic MPR-1411 refrigerator is ideally suited for many tests that require a stable, cool temperature or general cold storage. If you’re looking for a glass door lab fridge with a lot of storage capacity you should really consider the MPR-1411 as an option.

In the market for a CO2 incubator? Check out these Thermo Heracell VIOS units with copper-lined interior. The Thermo Scientific Heracell VIOS CO2incubator is specifically designed to deliver the performance reliability, ease of operation, and value required to support a range of culturing needs from basic research to the demanding, leading-edge applications, so you’re ready for whatever comes next.IOS CO2incubators with pure copper interior chambers provide the ideal in-vitro environment. They feature THRIVE Active Airflow, where an in-chamber fan distributes clean, humidified air throughout the chamber ensuring homogeneous conditions; fast recovery of all parameters in ten minutes or less for stable culturing conditions; and an auto-stop function that disables fan operation during door openings to minimize air exchange.
